On 2nd August 2025, an impactful gathering was held at the Shri Radha Surbahi Gaushala, where devotees, volunteers, and committee members came together under the guidance of Shri Bhakti Bhushan Das (Prabhuji). The focus of the meeting was the upcoming Pitru Paksha Shraddha Mahotsav, to be conducted at the Shri Radha Surabhi Gaushala from September 7th to September 21st, 2025.

What Is Pitru Paksha and Why Is It Important?

Honoring Our Ancestors Through Shraddha Rituals

Pitru Paksha is a sacred 16-day period in the Hindu calendar dedicated to remembering and offering gratitude to our ancestors (Pitrus). It is a time to perform Shraddha rituals, believed to provide peace to departed souls and uplift the living by clearing ancestral karma.

Why Should We Perform Pitru Paksha 2025 Rituals?

In the meeting, Prabhuji emphasized that not doing Pitru Paksha rituals can affect the harmony of one’s household and lineage. It’s not just a ritual—it's a duty. Ignorance of these practices has led to a spiritual disconnect in many modern families.

Prabhuji’s Vision: Panchamukhi Seva Principles in Action

Sri Bhakti Bhushan Das also reiterated the fivefold Panchamukhi Seva principles as the spiritual foundation for the Gaushala’s initiatives. He encouraged everyone to align their contributions with these principles and support the Pitru Paksha 2025 Mahotsav with full devotion.
